Edinbugh Festival 2014

Seven out of the nine Carnegie Shadowing group came to the Edinburgh Festival.  We bravedthe rain to watch free shows on the mound, braved an excess of chillis at Wagamama's, and were blown away by the Tattoo (so many performers they barely all fitted into the arena!)
Then we went to the Book Festival - an inspiring talk fromGill Arbuthnott on creative writing, followed by Sean Damer talking about his novel about Flora MacDonald.  We managed to spend most of our free £2 book vouchers (such a generous thing - a £2 vouche for each £3 ticket!) and get books signed by both authors.  It was great to see the group sitting waitig for the next talk, all with their noses in their new books. And they read in the ferry queue and on the ferry too...
